Hydraulic Lift Feature a Godsend

Being an older DJ, and working alone, it makes life much easier having the assistance in raising and lowering my speaker cabinets. The stand is much higher quality than others I've used in the past. The bag it comes with is just okay, and I've had an issue where the pole tries to deploy in the bag and it's a little difficult to retract the pole and remove the stand from the bag.
Truly impressed

I don't know why anyone would give this product a negative review as long as there wasn't a manufacturing defect. If in fact there is something that don't seem to be working correctly contact the seller, because these stands are very nice for the price.
As far as a portable stand goes you can't ask for more. The air assist for lowering is really a bonus. Anyone who has lowered speakers and caught their fingers or had them slam down knows what i am talking about.
The case isn't the type you would see with a DJ supplier, but take a look at the price difference. If you want a better case then you're going to pay for it.
Anyone who does anything a couple of times a year these will last forever as long as you don't abuse them. I do about 15 to 20 gigs a year, and i don't expect these to fail me any time soon.

Price point is perfect for the item, but seller could be better

After actually unpacking this item I can write a review. 1st, You GET what you PAY for. These work great for their intended purpose. The company that sold these to me did not inspect the item well. This item came with a Large scratch on a few of the legs. The Rockville carrying bag arrived with a broken strap (the strap that holds the tripod in the bag). I can't fault the manufacturer for a seller's issue, but the product is well worth the $45 price mark I paid for 2 (two) Aluminum Tripods.

This tripod stand came in a large tall Amazon box with the Rockville box inside and some brown paper stuffing. Delivery was quick and arrived to my door step by the UPS man. After opening up this box and pulling out this stand, it felt lightweight but solid as well. It say it can hold up to 100 lbs and it could so, but my PA Speaker weighs only about 20 or so pounds and this should work out fine. It is very easy to adjust and fold up. Just remember to makes sure the knobs are loose when folding back. There is a metal pin that is attached to a cord on the part that extends upwards. Spaced out oles are on the extending part of the pole so you can poke the metal pin through and lower to that setting before tightening. This is to prevent the speaker from falling downwards in case you didn't tighten the knob too well. Pretty simple to understand and build strong and lightweight. Hope this info helps.

Took a chance on these, and they are marginal at best. There is no way the clamping mech will hold the sliding poles tight, even with the clamp tightened until it bottoms out. This isn't a problem with the upper section with the pin in place, but the lower section clamp will slide based on how what type of floor your are setting on and how heavy the speaker is. Having said that, for the few times a year these will be used, for the price, they are ok.
