Used these corks straight out of the bag to close over 100 bottles of our wine. They worked beautifully. The bottles were standard 750 ml bottles. We used a floor model corker with an iris-type compression. We found it best to compress the cork and then insert it in two distinct motions to give the cork enough time to fully adjust to the compressed state. Otherwise the cork would occasionally catch on its outer skin. I'll be storing most of the wine horizontally although according to the documentation that is not necessary. I do not expect any problems with leaking in that position. The seal looks good and the corks are fully inserted. I will definitely use the same Nomacorc for next year's batch.
Good Corks. Good for up to 20 Years from what I have read.
