Thomas tent
plp✓ Verified Purchase•January 15, 2018
We enjoyed watching our grandson playing with this tent. I wish the door on the side could be pulled back with ties. Our little guy stumbled through it. I also wish the top would have "windows" with see through black mess. I would like to be able to see what he is doing while he is in there. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because you can't peak inside without opening it and being on the floor to peak in.
Needs a window, but a great deal.

My nephew (age 3) loved his present! He had a very fun time pretending to choo-choo around with Thomas.
The major downside to this playhut is that there is no window. It would be more fun if he could see out from inside, without having to stick his head out the door.
That being said, it seems as sturdy as any other playhut I've seen and is certainly cute and true to the character. I think you could fit like 2-3 young children in it.

Not bad for what you pay for, my son loves it.

My son LOVES that I got this for him.
To best describe its structure, it is similar to a collapsible clothing hamper. It twists and folds up to a pretty compact shape. It's extremely lightweight/movable. Structurally, do not plan on kids climbing on this as it will very easily colapse under their weight.
Material wise, it is similar to that again of a collapsible clothing hamper.
The taller part of the train, I can sit in it without bending over. I'm 6'1".
My only dislike, the smoke stack is an additional piece held on with Velcro. Very flimsy.

Nice but has flaws

The train looks nice and in general is a great idea for toddlers. But it definitely has a few flaws - there is no floor, so, being super lightweight, it "flies" around the house easily. Don't think it's going to stay in place like a tent. It's not high enough for the toddler to stand inside, so every time he tries to stand up he lifts the whole train. Also, it has no windows, which is very sad - why would a train not have windows? Quite silly. I'm probably going to cut out windows myself. Otherwise, my 2yo has been very impressed by it since he got it a week ago.
Not as expected

It wasn't as nice as I expected. We got this for my little boy for Christmas and we thought it would have more to do. It has too many parts and it's almost impossible to to fold back up. It also is a lot bigger than expected. It's just not what we expected at all.
