We just moved into a 15-year old home that had a mess of coaxial cables in the utility room, some of which were connected to a splitter, others just sitting there unused. The cable outlets in a 3 locations where we want to have cable TV or wired internet appeared to not be connected. I bought this toner, watched the company's YouTube video, and within 10 minutes had identified the three loose cables that needed to be connected to the main cable TV signal coming into the home. It really couldn't have been any easier.

I use this everyday at work to tone out lines in apartments and homes. It has some issues with some 59 lines I've noticed where it won't tone out but over all great toner. I was surprised on the quality, has some weight to it and doesn't feel cheap.

I purchased this tester to identify all of the coax cables running through my house. This tool was very easy to use. There is virtually no set up, just place tester on one end of the cable, then place the speaker on the other. Once you hear the tone, you have a match. This tester even worked on cables without the connectors on them! Well worth the cost considering how easy this made my job

This work well for all types of cable with the proper adapters. So are I have used on RG6, RG8, RG58 and LMR 400. Not as good as a VNA but sure is a heck of lot cheaper and gives you immediate feedback on whether the cable and connectors are good or not do you don't waster your time. If you are handy you could probably make one of these for yourself but the packaging is beautiful.

I needed to map the cable runs at our house so I could install a signal amp that is back powered from inside to outside. Six runs and thirty steps between junction box outside and the inside of house warranted buying this tool. I read the basic instructions and ten minutes later I had everything mapped out. Great tool.
