Really easy to use and the directions were clear and concise. For piercing an ear/cartilage piercing it's amazing. Any other piercing especially nose or more complex ear locations I would recommend a tattoo shop just as a safety measure as this is a simple ear gun (like they use at Claire's); nose and certain cartilage piercings are better with a needle in my option. Overall super happy. Easy to use. Does the job on a simple ear piercing.

Worth every dollar. The mechanism is top quality, once lined up, virtually painless. The most difficult part is getting the piercing stud and back inserted without contaminating it; however, it's a simple thing to get a cotton swab to clean the post and ear lobe before activating the Studex. It is a very good idea to practice on the thick cardboard practice ear before punching holes in your head. I found that no matter how carefully I liked up the point, the gun always shot high, between 2-3 mm higher than I was aiming. I did my ear lobes to correct poorly spaced previous piercings and found it to be much easier than anticipated. I do have to admit that the first couple of tries were way too high, and I removed the stud immediately, cleaned it, and was ultimately successful in getting the stud exactly where I wanted it. Yes, there are a couple of extra holes now, but they have not presented any issues (infection and the like) . Practice with the cardboard ear until you get comfortable with your aim and your particular Studex tool. Some might shoot high, low, left or right but practice will eliminate accidentally punching holes in the wrong spot.

There are other piercing tools available at lower prices, but some reviews indicate sticking or jamming; you won't find that with the Studex. High quality tool, highly recommended.

I love this! Best purchase I made in a long time! I decided to repierce my ears and didn't want the headache and cost of going in to do it. I wanted several holes and in the cartilage. This works great, plus you don't have to worry about using a gun that was used by others

This is worth every penny. I've used it once on each of my ears and have had no problems. It comes with everything you need to pierce your lobes. It has attachments for smaller or larger studs for piercing. If you want smaller studs you'll have to buy them but the gun can fit 3 sizes. I'll buy smaller studs for when I pierce my cartilage. It's easy to use whether you are piercing yourself or someone else. It came clean and ready to use.
