What is great about this fondue set - its very nice to look at. The wood base and cast iron stand + base is great.
I deducted a few stars for one key reason. When you spend this much on a quality fondue set, the handle should not be hollow or with an exposed screw in the middle of it. It should be a solid piece of wood that doesn't move and at least have a cover over the screw. It's a huge weak point that over years will degrade. Making the handle useless.

The whole family enjoyed using this fondue set and the children liked to have there own coloured sticks works very well if you read the instructions and soak before use.

We used the fondue set twice only. The second time we made cheese fondue the pot cracked and later a big chip from its base broke off. We had to throw the pot since we did not want to risk mixing adhesives with our food. Very disappointed by the quality.
