It works

Pretty but already has some wear. It's expensive as far as utility knives go. Also once I opened it to take the cardboard out, because it comes with cardboard in the place of a blade, the case closes kind of loosely. My guess is having cardboard stuck in it, for who know how long, pried open the case slightly. Poor packaging led to some dings in the paint and loosely closing case. Wouldn't buy again.
I like it. I am left-handed and have had problems ...

It took me a while to figure out how to change the blade. You must position the knife at the angle shown in the picture (about 45 degrees) and then press the small release button. Other than that, I like it.

I am left-handed and have had problems finding a knife that doesn't release the blade when using it with the left hand, so kudos on a good design.
Spring popped off.

When received the spring inside came apart so I ordered another because I've used these before and really liked them. I was going to return it but fixed it, so now we have two. Not sure why the spring broke when opening it the first time, that's the only reason it received a 4, the one I received to replace it gets a 5 star.
My favorite box cutter

I've tried several different box cutters from husky, Stanley and etc. This is by far my the best one the only issues I have with this one is it doesn't take drops very well and the mechism that helps you pop open to change the blade is really bad because the spring is not attached on so once you lose it your gonna have to manually open it. The gold blades are not as great as the regular ones if anything they seem weaker. I use this daily as I am a stocker
A Must-Have For Guitar Building
Jack Frost✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 20, 2017
I'm not an expert on utility knives, but this particular one is about as good as I've ever used. The holder is really solid, feels like it'll last decades, and the blades are incredibly durable.

With a steel ruler as a guide, I used a single side of a single blade to cut a backstrip channel in Indian Rosewood for an acoustic guitar. It took many passes, of course, but the result looked surgically precise - and the blade was still perfectly usable afterward. It saved me from having to buy a really expensive routing attachment for my Dremel.
