I originally ordered these liners last summer to wear while hiking in order to prevent blisters which have been a consistent problem for me. During the past 9 months I have hiked more than 500 miles, about half on developed trails and half on rough mountain trails. I have not had a single blister, which in itself is a testament to the effectiveness of these liners. When hiking, I use the liners under Darn Tough boot socks. In addition, I found the liners work well on their own with my Keen Newport and Arroyo sandals. They keep my feet cool in summer and provide some warmth when wearing sandals in fall and spring. The four pair of liners I purchased have held-up well to 9 months of daily use. To date none of them have worn through or required replacement.

Very nice lightweight sock that is listed as a "liner" but that I use as a regular sock. It is very breathable, and is reinforced in the heel and toe at the points of maximum wear to provide extra durability.
I also own the Fox River liner socks which are less expensive but also don't last as long with heavy use. Fox River Wick Dry CoolMax Liner Sock, White, Large (Men's 9-12, Women's 10-13) Pack of 3 Pairs.
I'vve used both socks for over a year and it's a toss-up so I just keep buying both..

I got these due to problems with heel blisters. They stay nice and snug on my feet, sliding inside of the outer wool sock so they get all the friction instead of my skin. No more blisters. But as others have said... wow, the smell. I swear I saw bugs crash and burn and plants wither around me when I took my outer socks off after a day of hiking. It's manageable though if you bring extra pairs or are able to rinse them out in a stream or something. I think I'll keep using them for day hikes but try something else for overnighters.

The socks that I received are not over the calf. As a attest of fact I would not even call them crew socks. I tried them on and they slid down my ankle. Not the sock advertised. Would not recommend or buy them again. They will be returned tomorrow. Chinese junk. See photo of sock next to a Terramar sock.

I wear a women's size 9 shoe (US) and bought these in a medium. These fit just as I hope, almost exactly right with a slight bit extra in case of shrinkage. I can't comment on their performance yet but the fit is what I hoped for. The company website didn't really have useful sizing information.
