- •Remove the bolt and nuts that hold the seat and lid onto the toilet. Remove the seat, lid and bolts, and place to the side.
- •Remove the connecting plate from the box and position bracket over the holes on the toilet. Replace the toilet lid and seat, then replace bolts and nuts; tighten down securely.
- •Insert tubing of the support arms into the bracket, using the push buttons to adjust to the desired width. Do this on both sides.
- •NOTE: For your safety, the two extension legs must always be locked in the same height position. All pins must be pushed completely through the pinholes before using.

I returned it. It was very rickety and not safe. Furthermore the distance between the rails and the toilet seat was far too high for someone to push off of when you extended the legs to make it sit on the floor securely.

This worked just ok for me-strong & healthy person who just needed the extra support because of an ankle surgery. This would not work for a person who is weak however. The legs are not stable. An extra horizontal bar across the legs would stablize them for a much better support for a weaker person.
When considering a purchase like this, one must take into account the heighth of the toilet seat and the heighth of the person. Although this product is adjustable it would be better with more adjustibility. Either that or purchase a toilet safety system with a seat built into it. My toilet was too low which made the combination of the wiggly legs and limited adjustments somewhat less than desirable.

This is perfect for a person with a handicap. Fortunately we already had the taller "handicap" style toilets so the height was not a problem and this just screws in with the toilet seat.
