Love this stuff!
Mystery Lover✓ Verified Purchase•November 4, 2023
This stuff made my kitchen look 15 years younger! I was at the point of considering putting in a new tile floor because I could no longer get the grout remotely clean (it hadn't been sealed when we bought the house.) This is not too hard to apply - not much more work than scrubbing the grout with a toothbrush and Soft Scrub just one time. Here are a few application tricks I learned through trial and error; some are on the bottle, and some seem obvious, but if you do this it will make the job much easier:
I did one area of the floor at a time, starting at one edge and doing a 2 foot wide strip across the width of the room. I'm middle-aged, with not the greatest back in the world, and it was pretty tiring. Spacing out the work over a few days made it easier for me.
This one's obvious, but make sure you get the floor - especially the grout - as clean as you can before you start. I used Spic and Span and a scrub brush, and even scraped some spots with a knife if there was something really dried on there. Wait till the floor dries thoroughly before you begin.
Squeeze a dab of Grout Refresh onto the grout at the far corner of the area you want to cover (but not right up next to the wall), then use a toothbrush to spread it back-and-forth along the groove. A little goes a long way, so it's better to start with a small dab. You want to avoid getting a lot of excess both on the grout, and outside the grout line - just a thin coat will do, I promise.
Set a timer for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, take a clean rag (microfiber cleaning rags work great) and wet it with lukewarm water. It should be nice and wet, but not really drippy. Starting at one corner, lightly wipe the rag back and forth over the grout lines. The product you applied to the grout will stick, but whatever you got on the smooth tile will wash loose. Rinse your cloth and keep wiping lightly until you've removed all the refresher from outside the grout lines. Be sure to wipe the tile clean, because if a flake dries 24 hours, it has to be scraped off with a knife. If you got a lot outside the lines, this step is A LOT more work. Also, if you applied the refresher too thickly, a piece applied to the grout can come off and give you an uneven result.
It says to let it dry for two hours with no traffic. I had a hard time keeping my cats off it, but didn't notice that they left any marks. After a couple of hours, you can walk on it, but don't let it get wet for 24 hours.
I added a picture and, as you can see, my floor looked gross. It's been a couple of months since I applied this stuff, and it still looks like the day I did it. If it gets dirty, I just wash the floor and the grout comes clean as easily as the tile did. Highly recommended!

Don't even think about it! You have to try this product!!!!! It is extremely easy to use (though time consuming), dries fast and easy cleanup. I had my doubts, but my kitchen floor looks brand new!!! I can't help staring at it in disbelief!! If only it will hold up for a while, i will be happy happy! Wish i had found this stuff sooner!...It goes a long way, (I will have enought to finish the kitchen and 2 bathroms)! I was afraid the bone color might be too dark, but it dried really light...perfect! The easiest way for me was to run a tiny bead down the grout line (that's all you need)...spread back & forth with a skinny paint brush & a damp microfiber towel (to clean up as i went). I had Zero problems with it peeling up (as some have stated).. The key is to apply thin! I could not be happier!!!
Best Product to Re-Color and Seal Grout

Love this stuff. It colors and seals grout. I've used it to refresh old stained grout. I've used it to color match and seal new grout. I've used it to change the color of a grout (dark grey to bright white took 2-3 coats). It works great! And it keeps grout looking new for years. I've had some applications that are over 5 years old that are still going strong and looking good.
It is a bit of a labor of love to apply this. You have to be on the floor, crouched, while you paint it onto the grout with great detail. I use a child's toothbrush for this. As you have to scrub it in and make sure it soaks into the grout to get the seal. Then before it completely dries, you need to wipe off the excess with a damp rag. If you can't dedicate some time and energy to do this, then I wouldn't recommend trying.
It's very labor intensive, detailed, and tedious work. I tried to hire people to help but after they found out what they would be doing, they declined! I ended up doing it all myself...a little at a time, a room at a time. I've done every room in the house. On the floor. On counter tops. On back spashes. In the bathroom. Just excellent. Can't argue with the results!

Beautiful grout color!

My tile grout is (was) gross! I scrubbed it with a toothbrush often but it never looked nice. I finally found this grout color liquid thing and I am soo soo happy with it! It makes my tile look cleaner too! I guess a clean grout makes a huge difference. I've gotten so many compliments since using it.
Putting it on is a bit of a pain in the neck but it's worth it. Sat on the floor and cleaned tile grout first with a heavy duty brush. Dried it and applied grout coloring. I kinda smeared it with my fingers and a toothbrush. I let it sit for 45 minutes then cleaned up the residue messy stuff with a damp rag. Any left over paint on the ceramic tile was easy to scrub off with the damp rag.
I let the grout dry for about 24 hours before I allowed the grimmy kids to walk. Yes it's work but it's very doable over a weekend. Or little by little like I've been doing it. Great product and beautiful colors

Amazing Transformation!

Everyone that sees the results of this can't believe the difference. No one including my wife thought it needed anything because our house is clean. I did about 600 sq ft of tile in the house and it makes it easier to clean and looks amazing. The first bathroom didn't go well. I used a small paint brush and as I tried to wipe the surplus off I was wiping the grout off too. After that room I switched to a toothbrush and it made all the difference in the world. It went great after I had a system. A very small line of paint added to the grout, then rubbed in with a toothbrush, if there are any areas where there is a lot of paint on the tile I wiped it immediately with a paper towel. At that point there was still a little bit of paint on the edges of the tile. I then ran a damp sponge along each edge ( not wiping paint just moistening the surface ) then using a paper towel to wipe it clean. I tried rags but found it faster to use paper towels that rinsing rags and I only used two rolls of paper towels on the whole thing. I highly recommend this product. I used two bottles and still have just a little bit left.
