Sturdy, protective shoe
Chewie's mom✓ Verified Purchase•July 30, 2023
This shoe has a much sturdier base than the standard post op shoe. The square toe on this and the extra length in the toe box offer much more protection too. I had a standard post op shoe for broken toes earlier this year and I have broken a toe on my other foot and got this for the new fracture. The bed of the shoe is kinda hard but overall I feel so much better walking in this shoe. Just gotta get a cushioned insert and it will be perfect.
Seems effective enough, just too ugly

I bought these to replace a similar style I bought in an emergency when I broke my foot on vacation in the Caribbean; that pair was very elevated, so I wanted something to wear at home that wouldn't throw my body as much out of alignment. The problem with these is that they were just too ugly with the square toe (my elevated one had more of a rounded toe). Too ugly to wear even indoors. I just kept wearing my elevated shoe and adjusted to compensating.
Order a size smaller

I would size down on this product. I got the size that was recommended and it's huge on me. I wear a size 9 and it looks like a clown shoe because it's too big.
Works well for walking with injured big toe joint
E Palen✓ Verified Purchase•May 19, 2023
After a pro grade impact drill fell from 4 ft high onto my big toe joint (in which I already suffer with Hallux Rigidus), even attempting the lightest weight on my foot was excruciating. This stiff, wrap-able boot immediately allowed me to hobble around if not totally pain free, tons less than before. My only complaint (and it's not really their fault( is not knowing how high a shoe I'd need on the other foot to balance out the height difference. The wrap is customizable so I am able to wear a thin sock, or a large bandage bandage. The length of the strap around my ankle was perfect to allow me to secure the shoe from flapping around. The item arrived quickly and seems to be great quality at a low price.
Double check sizing. Updated photo

I like the shoe and the quality appears to be good. The issue is the sizing. The chart shows a man with a 10.5 foot size should order large. My foot measures 10.5 and as you can see from the picture the boot is way to large. I will return and order a new one.
