Includes 4 free arcade games and 5 Atari 2600 games. Easy to find if you tap on the "list" icon. I happen to have wasted a lot of time as a kid playing centipede and millipede, so I think it's a pretty cool free app for those 2 free games alone. It offers the option of purchasing even more games if you want them... Unless this free app is crashing your phone/tablet, not sure what you have to complain about. The description spells it all out before you download it, so most of these bad reviews are coming from people who want to waste their time playing games, yet simultaneously don't have 15 seconds to spare to read the description before downloading... Before playing, it allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the controls.
BEAUTIFUL!!! Now I want the other volumes!!

Works fine for me!! My only reservation is that the sequel collections appear to have erroneous, incorrect lists of games, repeating the list of Vol 1 in all other volumes, on the app page!!! nobody's gonna buy the other volumes, if they list the same games as Volume 1!!! I hope Amazon fixes it, bc I want to buy the other volumes, but I'm not brave enough to buy them, when even OTHER online stores copy the same incorrect product listing!!!
cool retro games

Sure its only 9 games, but they all play great on the tablet and phone - controls take time to get use to, but without a built in joystick or track-ball, you have to accept what you have to work with. It would have been nice if there were 9 different games instead of duplicated versions of centipede and millipede (2600 platform and arcade versions)... Maybe later they will offer more packs for free (would love to see Asteroids). Oh, and this package merged the 9-free games flawlessly with the Atari library I already had installed!
AAAAANNNNNDDDD, I love the down-votes given to everyone giving 5-star ratings... shows just how childish some people are when they don't get the entire Atari library for free... sure, you only get 9 games, sure you CAN buy more if you want... NO ONE IS TWISTING YOUR ARM TO BUY MORE... shut up and be thankful you got 9 games for free in the package in stead of just one ... Bet everyone whining about this would have been happy if the FAOTD was ONLY A Centipede clone, arcade version (without the library menu and market-style app provided by Atari). It would seem the main complaint from people is the library-style launcher which reminds them of all the games they DON'T HAVE FOR FREE. Some people just need something to complain about!

Not as bad as the reviews say

It appears that a lot of reviewers are confused. There are more than 4 games, but they are not all listed in the same libray categories. Some are Arcade games and some are for the Atari 2600. It's true that the additional games listed require purchase, but there are quite a few. They seem to go for $0.99 per 4 pack, which is on the high side of reasonable for 30 year old games, but isn't that bad. It seems like games are emulated rather than ported to Android which makes the interface a little awkward, however it means that the games are the original classics.
Oh, look, a commercial MAME

31 years ago, I received a 2600 as a holiday present. Thanks Amazon & devs for the giveaway this morning.
The list of included games isnt huge, but if you switch into the list view and expand "recently played," the checkmark icon shows which ROMs are active. Not exactly a list of "only the ROMs I can use" but better than the scrolling arcade panel.
Gameplay is exactly what you'd expect, since the games were ported from the original code. Of course, the lowest-end Android device far exceeds the capabilities of the hardware in an arcade cabinet with one exception: you can't emulate real, physical controls like a trackball, knob, or joystick. Maybe someday, someone will make a bluetooth arcade controller. Until then, you're stuck with multitouch.
I knocked a star off for the game selection UI, which is pretty but also a kind of hard-sell for the rest of the ROMs. Maybe they could add a "games I own" list in the future. If I didn't already have them all on both carts and on MAME I might be more annoyed, but now I'm just going to try to defend some cities while my kids get loopy on chocolate.
