A little confusing but was fast and well I guess it worked said negative. I'm curious if anyone's had a positive guess I'll have to trust it worked and there's no mold!

I followed the directions and have a clearcontrol line but instead of a single pink positive line an area of punk encompasses the strip tothe control line. See pic. However instructions did not mention this scenerio. I believe its positive but not sure. Therefore a 3 rating.
Sensitive Test, Vague Instructions, but it WORKS!

1. The instructions are vague on where the best place to test is. It says to rub it on the mold until the swab is dirty. That doesn't help when you have no visible mold, only the suspicion of it's presence. I tested places that dust had collected in several different areas of my home. Bathroom, kitchen, and the ventilation grate for the HVAC return.
2. This test labels itself at the "most sensitive" on the market. After a little research I found out that these tests are not recommended by professionals because mold is everywhere, even the toxic kind. If this test is as sensitive as it states then you could get a positive by detecting a tiny amount of mold that is harmless to most (with exception of babies, the elderly, and folks who have respiratory illnesses). The real issue is the amount of spores you have in your air within a certain amount of time.
3. It takes a good 10-15 minutes to read your results.
With all of that being said, my daughter has been having very serious respiratory issues for the past year and we suspected that we had mold growth in our home. It wasn't visible but if we left for the day, without air circulating inside, it always smelled very musty upon our return. Since she is only 2 years old a small amount of toxic mold could be very harmful to her respiratory system. This test showed positive on both types. I was mortified. I still am. We are homeowners who live paycheck to paycheck. I have no clue how we are going to remediate the mold!
