We purchased this rain chain several months ago and finally got around to installing it. Coincidentally it was a rainy day with periods of very heavy pouring. This chain holds up to very heavy rain, with the water staying within the cups and not splashing around the sides.
We love the look of the chain and only wish that there was an option to purchase smaller segments as we could use just 2-3 more cups for the height of our house and don't need a whole other chain. Perhaps the seller will consider selling smaller segments of chains that might have been returned due to a bad segment on a full chain (though I don't see how as they feel very well made, but production or shipping issues happen). This is a beautiful, functional, and sturdy rain chain.

I alternate this black rain chain with the copper one just to change things up. The black color goes with the trim on my windows and blends a bit more into the grey color of the house than the copper. Easy to change them out to fit my mood!
