I love this soup

I absolutely love this soup and since I can't find it at the store I shop at I come to Amazon... Thankfully they carry it. It is wonderful with shrimp added to it and poured over rice. (Use less water to make a more gravy consistency) I use this in recipes and by itself.
A Good Option for Low Salt Diets

If you are like me and need to watch the salt content in your food, you may realize how hard it is to find low salt soups. This is the only cream based low salt soup I've ever found commercially. It is really bland (low salt) and one can only serves one person. Do not add water or milk to this soup as it is already rather runny, just pour in a dish and heat in the micro wave. However, you will want to add either (no salt) spices or other ingredients to the soup, as it is really bland. I have experimented and had some good combinations with some paprika and garlic, however it's good to have a low salt soup, as there is really no way to take the salt out of soup, once it is added.

I have eaten Campbells Soups for years, especially cream of mushroom and cream of chicken! As soon as the Healthy Request soups came out in this area, I switched those two because of lower fat(calories) and sodium. Big Cudos to Campbells for listening to the customers and caring! It took a little while to get used to the Healthy Request, but I like it very much (and I wanted to support Campbells for THEIR support of Texans and supplying Texans jobs!- A lot of rambling to get to my point, and I apologize for that! I purchased a case (12 cans) of their Cream of Mushroom Low Sodium last week- did not read any of the reviews before ordering-, and frankly, I was SHOCKED when I opened the can! Was looking at a very thin, almost watery, substance which bore no resemblance to my Campbells Soups- I thought it might be spoiled, and after careful examination, tasted a small bit.No taste, either. Campbells, thank you so much for trying, but I submit that this product is not bound for greatness. If I may be so bold, make it into one of your great condensed soups, and I think you will have a winner!!
Bent soup cans with average flavor

The soup is a bit bland, but what can one expect for a low sodium item? I sprinkle Mrs. Dash on it and it tastes ok. My biggest complaint is that the cans always arrive bent. I don't think it happens during shipping because the box of soup has bubble wrap around it and that box is inside another box that is also protected. So it looks like they are sending cans that are already bent, like seconds that they can't sell in a retail grocery. i don't think the bent cans pose a health hazard but I do think that the description should disclose that the cans may be bent. If you're on a low sodium diet and like mushroom soup, this soup is an average choice.
and I've loved every one of them

I've used Campbell's condensed soups for cooking and eating for 50 years, and I've loved every one of them. Recently I was diagnosed with kidney disease and told to reduce my sodium intake from all sources to less than 500 mg per meal. That's really hard to do. I was so excited to find Campbell's Low Sodium Cream of Mushroom soup ~ all is not lost!! I made gravy with one can tonight to go with pork chops, and the gravy was darn good! I did sprinkle a little garlic powder and onion powder in the gravy to get the mouth feel of the missing sodium. I am so happy with this soup and I'm hoping Campbell's will come out with a full line of low sodium cream of soups. Thank you Campbell's, you've made an old lady very happy.
