Installed this and had to put on the breakout system to make the ports on top of one another. The problem is the ribbon cable that holds the VGA cable is not long enough, it put a serious strain on the card when trying to install it, I ended up just leaving it dangling without the metal plate. Shame for this price point...

I purchased this with the intent of using either the VGA or HDMI just for initial setup of a Server (Onboard VGA of Server was dead). Well assembling is very easy, installation of the main card is also easy, but the VGA Ribbon Break Out Cable will NOT work because it is about a half inch too short for either flipping it to the front or the back of the card for install. The card works fine but I had to use the VGA Ribbon Break Out Cable not installed to do the setup. No matter which way you bent the ribbon cable it was putting a strain on the cable. The VGA Ribbon Break Out Cable also started to show some wear on the cable as if it was going to cut if I kept forcing it.

I am running Windows 10. The package includes a note to get drivers from Radeon.com, so I got the latest driver package and installed it. I have two displays, one connected HDMI and one connected DVI. The display settings only recognized the HDMI display but duplicated on the DVI display. I ended up going to Diamond.com and getting the Radeon 5450 driver, which is only available for Windows 7. That package resolved my issue and now I have a sharp image on both displays. Changed the sound output to AMD HDMI output and that works.

I run a dual boot Windows XP/Windows 10 machine here at home, and I bought this card to replace my ATI Radeon X1650 video card that I put into service about 10 years ago. The fan on it quit working years ago, but this year not even the supplemental fan kept it cool enough to keep it from throwing errors from overheating. So, I decided to look for a video card that was "not too old but not too new" that would have Windows XP drivers and drivers that would at least work under Windows 10. I settled on this card, and I have not been disappointed. Installation of the card under Windows 10 with the supplied CD-ROM was straight forward and reasonably quick, and the same was true when installing the drivers on my Windows XP installation. I have thus far been able to run my Windows XP games (since they don't run under Windows 10) without a hitch, and the card functions well under Windows 10. I am now able to access web sites that utilize WebGL. If you are looking for a card that helps bridge the gulf between WinXP & Win10 on the same system, I can say that this card did the trick for me.

Well, courtesy of online classes I needed to be able to use Zoom on one of my computers. My 10 year old desktop machine just couldn't do it, and my little Lenovo could just barely. So...upgrade time!
To be honest, purchasing this board was something of an afterthought, since I figured bringing the desktop machine's RAM up to 4 Gb and installing a quad core processor should do the trick. But - having had good results with Diamond products in the past, and a modest price tag for the board, I opted to buy it and try it.
Upside: the card worked on the first try, and does a fine job of accelerating Zoom sessions.
Downside: the drivers from the AMD website installed with little drama, but there's a shortcut for settings that doesn't lead anywhere (Win 7). However, the Catalyst app allows the user to configure the board so I'm inclined to think the shortcut is just a leftover that was not removed prior to being assigned legacy status.
In any case - suits my needs to a tee. Recommended.
