If you're making jewelry or doing precision fitting don't waste your money on these files. The teeth aren't sharp, edges & corners are sloppy & unfinished, most aren't flat/straight. These files are OK for general deburring & fitting but not precision work. General Tool's (Chinese) files are better but Swiss-made are best. If you're doing precision work & want good finishes with minimum effort spend the money for Swiss-made files. These are going into my field box.

Despite their toy like appearance and under a dollar a piece price I have been very happy with these files. I have a pruning saw that has very small circular serrations on the cutting teeth. Almost like a serrated pocket knife. Either of the two round files in this set work quite well. All the larger round files I have simply don't fit. I have used some of the flat files, but mostly I can use larger files I have for flat surfaces. I would treat them as if they were delicate (e.g. don't use them as a pry bar or ice pick) and they should hold up OK.

They are cheap and they work. I use them to clean up 3d printed models and occasionally some metal. They have held up really well so far. I have had them for about 8 months and you can't beat the price. They are harbor freight brand, it says harbor freight on them and thats the quality I expected when ordering these for $12.
If you order these with the expectation of a really good set, you're going to be disappointed. If you order these expecting "$12 for 12 files" quality, you're going to love them.
