These work if you have a scenario that doesn't involve a lot of bouncing. I put these to the test when I was in Death Valley going on trails that had wash board terrains. The shovel would spin so you have to make sure the shovel doesn't hit your vehicle. The axe made the clamp sag so that got me concern. I think it was the heat that comprise it. I solve the problem by adding U bolts which kind of defeats the purpose since I was going to use that in the first place.

These mini quick fist products are the perfect size to hang up tools like a push broom or other small tools with a similar diameter handle. The hold very well, I carry heavy tools on my trailer on the highway and have no problems with anything coming loose. Since they are rubber I do not know what kind of effect the sun will have on them (will they dry rot like a tire? I don't know). But so far they seem to be very durable and I expect them to last me longer than the life of my car tires.
