One bar arrived extremely bent and it took two of us to fix it. The box arrived in shreds taped up and we were unable to move it without parts falling out, so we brought it all in piecemeal. Each individual part isn't too heavy for one individual to life.

The directions are minimal at best and took some intuition to fill in the missing information. There were cosmetic scratches on it.

It is heavy, extremely sturdy, and with some paint to cover the scratches, nice enough to display in my living room. The lights from the terrariums draw the eye away from the defects, so it's acceptable for my needs.

(Also, a toddler has taken to trying to scale it, so it's anchored to the wall, too, although it feels very sturdy on its own.)

This is not as sturdy as the Gorilla Rack. There are stabilizer bars that must be bolted to the underside of each shelf. If the bars are not installed the shelf rail will deform. I never had this problem with the Gorilla Rack.
This is however a good lighter-duty shelving unit.

Purchased 2 units for garage storage/organization. Was looking for adjustability, sturdiness, and stability.

The boxes they ship in are big and heavy, and get a little dinged up in transit, so be sure the inspect parts for damage -- Mine were fine for the most part (a couple of small scratches and a slightly bent tab or two, iirc).

Assembly is very easy and quick -- I built by myself then had help moving the racks into position.

I was somewhat concerned about the wire shelving and how it was supported at ends, but it turns out that the ends are supported well.

As for stability, I did have to shim one of the racks to eliminate a small amount of rocking movement, but shimmed and with weight on shelves, it is solid. I MAY engineer a strap system to secure to wall at some point, but it's probably not necessary.

All in all I'd recommend this product for people seeking a heavy duty, stable, strong, and adjustable storage solution.

I have a super large garage and had so much stuff due to consolidating 3 homes into one my 40 x 30 garage was just a mess, everything just piled everywhere. The racks took about an hour to assemble the 5 racks, pretty easy to put together. Some foreknowledge, the long cross bars holes go up and sometimes the small "hooks" at the end of them need a little bending out to make insertion and locking easier. Next I placed the racks against the wall (after clearing space) and started sorting an placing on the racks. 4 hours later my garage is organized and now I feel I have made a big move towards being moved in. I would recommend for anyone that needs a study shelves and has need to organized. My last house I used the plastic shelving, at half the price, but over the years they all seem to warp or bend due to weigh. If you don't want to worry about weight on your shelves and need shelving these do the job.

Bought this for storage in the garage and couldn't happier. Easy to assemble, great price and sturdy!
