Very well made with zero burrs

This is being used to connect a huge water tank to our RV when being used on the north forty. I've used others that had sharp burrs from the machining process, but this is actually machined, not cast or pressed. It's a good solid piece of brass!
Perfect fit for a hard to find 3/8" ID hose

Our 25 ft coil hose used to water the plants on the deck on the back side of the house, developed a leak. Tried leak repair tape, rubber seal (you know the one they make the boat out of), marine 2 part epoxy, a combo of these. No dice; after a few days they all let go. This solid brass fitting fit the inside diameter perfectly needing only a bit of twisting to snug it up . Luckily the hose was in the sun. Didn't know if it was needed but I put a small worm gear clamp on it. Perfect !! No leaks. Well worth it given a new hose would have been about $45.
Only the hose end...no clamp.

Could not find this size locally, but it was available on amazon. Fit perfectly to create 2 short hoses from one washing machine hose. The only drawback is that there is no hose clamp included (not advertised as having one, so none were expected).
Nice quality hose repair.

I ordered these to repair my hoses that used to have a lifetime warranty! Well, not anymore. Some of these hoses are over 20 years old and I wanted a high quality, machined brass coupling that will last another 20 years! Found them! I used a PEX pipe crimp ring to complete the installation. A 3/4" rings fit perfectly on my 5/8" hose. Now to order 4 more sets.
The pipe crimp rings and PEX tools are available right here on Amazon. Great investment that I'll use over and over.

Are you tired of having your garden hoses ruined because someone stepped on the male fitting and bent it out of shape?
Why not solve that problem forever by discarding the flimsy fitting that came with your hose and replacing it with one of these solid brass fittings from Anderson Metals? The cost is reasonable, installation is simple, and once installed, you can run over one of these things with a car and it'll still hold its shape. I was so impressed with the strength, performance and quality of this fitting that I subsequently installed one on each of my garden hoses. That was almost 3 years ago and I'm still satisfied with how well these things are working.
Anderson also makes a female counterpart to this fitting, and while I've also installed them on my garden hoses, I haven't yet tried running over them with a car. But I'm satisfied with their performance too, and yes, they're also available from Amazon.
As an added bonus, at least for me, the barbs on these fittings seem to be sharp enough to obtain an adequate "bite" on the inside of my hoses so as to not require the use of external hose clamps to keep them from popping off when under water pressure. I love the nice, clean appearance this offers.
