My 2008 F-150 4.6L started to clatter something fierce. I ran some cleaner through it, then changed the oil. I added the Rislone at the oil change. Took a couple of days, but the lifter clatter disappeared. She has 270,000 miles on her, and you can't even tell that she's running. Amazing.

I've been using original Rislone (item #100QR) 1 qt. in every oil change, on every of my vehicles since in 1987. It is the best oil detergent on the market, bar none (no pun intended for current owner). I learned of it from my my Uncle Henry (RIP), who was an auto mechanic. Rislone coined the term, "tune up" in the 1930s. I once blew my timing belt and had bent rods to repair. The repair mechanic asked me, "What do you use? I've never seen an engine so clean." My answer: Rislone. Smell it - it will be the "sweetest" grade, and best oil detergent you'll ever use.

Full disclosure, I also use HydraMaxx (AwSUM Outcomes, Calgary, Canada; https://awsum.global/products/) as a oil protective barrier and viscosity reducer at 3% solution at every oil change, for EVERY 4-cycle oil application - large and small engine, plus hydraulic systems such as power steering - but NOT brake systems.

Old tried and true product. I can't produce proof it makes a difference but I can say I've never had problems with a car I put it into.

My 2006 Acura MDX with 165k miles used to rattle quite a bit. I added a jug of this engine treatment during an oil change, and within 20 miles, the engine was noticeably quieter. For the price, I will use this with each oil change moving forward.

Tick tick tick, tick tick tick! Gone!!! I have 2 BMW's with the 3.0 ltr. engines. (one is my daughter Noel's) 08' with 95k & 07' with 167k miles and both have ticking lifters. One 3-4 times a week that has 167k miles, the 08' with 95k miles 3 times it's happened in 4 yrs..Ticks faster as you speed the engine up from top of engine. It goes away also and comes back from time to time. I was told it was ticking lifters and what a remedy this is!!!!!

1.) Use 1 qt. high mileage Motor Medic Motor Flush first! (add to current dirty oil and run 5 minutes on cold engine, drain and add new oil and filter minus 1/2 qt.)
2.) Add the Rislone for the last 1/2 quart of oil. (I used 1 quart bottle of this because my cars hold 6.9 qts. and directions say it is ok to add qt. for the volume of oil used so I did the math and added it to 5.9

AND WOW!!! The Motor Medic loosened up the gunk inside the engine and the Rislone is to do the same and keep it from building back up which keeps the oil paths open. My ticking has 100% disappeared in both engines!
I will use this combination every oil change in any vehicle I own from now on!
