Optimium amino energy is Not as good as Gx7 Pre workout. Most of amino energys flavors taste toxic, and the few that are okay (Fruit fusion was bearable), didnt give that much energy. As a pre workout, it did not do its job. I was looking for something to give me a pump & more energy at the gym and it doesnt cut it. May be useful if im doing homework and want to stay up later, but the purpose of this was for gym use!

I really liked this product for it tasted good and gave me more energy for a better workout. I will stick with it until I can find a cleaner product that does not contain FD&C blue #2 and Red #40. I you are not sure what these colors are just look them up. I am not sure why this company went to all the trouble of making such a great product but had to add those 2 unhealthy colors to it. If they can somehow eliminate the artificial colors then I would have given it 5 stars. Also it is way to sweet due to the artifiial sweeteners.

Natural Flavors: I have yet to find a "naturally" flavored one that is good - the peach one is the best of what there is - it tastes like bitter tea with a faint hint of peach. I will say, it has a slightly bigger caffeine kick - but I'm not sure the bitter after taste is worth it. If you like unsweetened tea (which I do) and prefer a much better (don't read "strong") taste, this might be for you. Don't buy it for the peach. I'd give the Peach 2 1/2 stars

The Natural Raspberry Lemon is horrible - tastes like lemon peels, not lemon... 1 star

Normal:
Green Apple - super sweet, exactly like a jolly rancher - while that's fun, I wouldn't commit to it, and the dye in it has a field day on it's "return" visit. 3 stars

Grape - it's not grape juice, closer to a candy grape flavor, but not as sweet as the Green Apple. If I made a top four, it's #4 - 4 stars.

Peach lemonade - I dig this one, especially in the morning, has that grapefruit/OJ kind of vibe, of my top four, it's #3 - 4 stars.
atermelon - this has become my favorite, has a great flavor, not too sweet. It's only my favorite because it's nearly impoosible to get my fave, anymore - #2 of my top four.

Blueberry Lemonade - not available on Amazon, originally exclusive to Costco, now it's just online direct, when available - by far my favorite flavor - satisfies thirst, not too sweet, just tastes good. #1 of four, 5 stars.

Others that I've tried, and could take or leave:
Fruit Fusion, just your average Fruit Punch, you know, the flavor every sports drink makes and people only buy it because it comes in the multi-flavor packs...

Blueberry - much like Green Apple, super sweet (but not as fun as a jolly rancher sort of thing), and dyes a number on your internals with the dye.

Blue Mojito - I'll be honest, I don't know what a Mojito tastes like, so, I can't compare. It tastes like a weak version of my favorite, Blueberry Lemonade...

I've always enjoyed Optimum Nutrition's products and as a fan of Amino Energy, I decided to give their natural version a try.

It's nowhere near the sweetness of their standard offerings but for me, even though I do value flavor, I value products that do not use artificial sweeteners and colors even more. So I am thankful that they decided to make AE in a natural variety.

You get the same cognitive boost and stimulating effects but the flavor isn't really that sweet at all, which is understandable as this product uses stevia to sweeten the drink. I am going to try adding a packet of Truvia to the next serving to see if it improves the taste any.

Edit: To be fair, this review was based on my first try of the natural Amino Energy. As I've used Amino Energy before, I figured that the amount of water you use is the same as the original AEs which is 10-12 ounces of water It is actually not the same amount. These natural AEs only call for 8-10 ounces and upon my initial serving I used 12 ounces of water so the flavor and sweetness may have been diluted quite a bit by mistake on my part. I will update this review when I try it again tomorrow, this time with 8 ounces of water.

Edit 9/24/17: I tried this AE with the minimal amount of water (8oz) and the flavor is much better than my initial try although still not as sweet and tasty as the original AE offerings. After I added half a packet of Truvia the taste was much better to my liking.

Prehaps I found perfection? Honestly amino energy would be the best product in the world, literally ever if they just did without the artifical flavors and dyes. I've tried about every flavor they've got and I really enjoy all of them - I enjoy the feeling it gives but I really do try to limit myself to just a couple servings per day because I don't like the "extra". As a pre workout it's short on many ingredients but it's not technically supposed to be a preworkout, I just like the energy and effects I get from it, I've combined with Genius Pre Workout - All Natural Nootropic Preworkout Powder & Caffeine-Free Nitric Oxide Booster 354G for most gym days and I love it. It's like the perfect combination of ingredients your body needs plus the best energy solution ever.

Optimum please make an all natural flavor soon, you guys are awesome.
