It didn't take my mascara off at all. It's fine for that initial removal of foundation/eyebrows/lipstick, but the waterproof ones like mascara and eye liner didn't come off.

I was very excited to try this product because of the many reviews that I read and the fact that this product is made in France. However, I got dissapointed with the results. It removes all make up including waterproof mascara as it is gentle enough on the eyes but left my skin feeling dry, and red afterwards. I even had dry patches on my cheek after using this and my moisturizer was not enough to calm my dehydration. So I would not recommend this product to people with sensitive skin especially the ones with roscesia. Maybe it is the alcohol that dries out the skin that much. But this is definitely not for sensitive skin!
