and a great layering shirt

Such a cute pink color, a soft dusty rose, and a great layering shirt. I didn't know all Duofolds weren't made alike (rookie). I only had one mid-weight pair that I used for the past couple winters and that shirt was cut with a princess seam so it was really form fitting and was a much higher percentage synthetic fabrics and no merino wool. This shirt is a slightly more relaxed fit (great; tight is not always a great look on me!) and I found it to be a much more comfortable warm than my other shirt. This will be the one I grab for next winter's snowmobile trip...though the other will be close at hand backup!
RUNS VERY SMALL, order up a size or two!!

OMGosh, this runs SO small! I usually wear an XS (or size 4) shirt; ordered this base layer in S (size guide says Small = size 6-8). It's beyond snug; it's uncomfortably tight, so much so that the fabric does not lie smooth on my body--it ripples. Am returning the Small and ordering a Medium. Gave 4 stars because it is a really nice underlayer and feels like it will be really warm. Also, great price for this wool blend.
UPDATE: Received Medium today & it is PERFECT! There's quite a big difference in size between the Small & the Medium. I have room to comfortably wear a thin short-sleeved t-shirt under this, so that I can remove this layer while hiking, as the day warms up, and not be topless on the trail! It feels SO cozy and warm; can't wait to wear it on our family vacation to Utah's National Parks, where morning lows will be in low 30s.

Duofold used to make heavyweight thermals in a cotton/wool/nylon blend. Same proportions of fibers. They looked a whole heck of a lot of these current thermals from afar. Up close, not so much. I know because I own some of these from just a few years ago, so comparisons are easy. The material is thicker, and the workmanship is better. If you, like me, are looking for the same wonderful thermals the company used to produce, you'll have to go to eBay or Etsy or some other site that offers vintage, sometime in the original package. I'm sending these back.
Shrinks!

I bought a ton of this brand when I became a flight medic and needed something with natural fiber under my flight suit. It was great the first two times worn... Then my husband did the wash and put it in the dryer. Now my medium is a XXS. In fact, the whole load was of this brand of long underwear and they are all that size.
Cozy, old-school natural fiber

I bought two sizes - small and medium. I'm 5' 5", 125. The small is pretty tight, the medium is pretty loose so they'll serve different purposes. On both, the arms are rather short - which is fine for me but might not be for someone with long limbs. I LOVE these! The inner layer is 100% cotton, the outer layer is a blend of cotton and Merino wool. They are so cozy and warm and are a welcome change from the fancy wicking microfiber I usually wear. They may not be so great for strenuous activity but they are wonderful for lounging and staying warm outdoors with low to moderate activity. And the price is excellent!
