A love affair for over 30 years!

I have been using this product for over 30 years! It is absolutely fantastic taking goo off of stuff and does not harm the surface materials that it comes into contact with. I am soooo glad it is on the market again!!!

Still the best rubber cement solvent after many decades. Does the job quckly--but use in a ventilated room!
Bestine can be used for removal of self-adhesive items such as postage stamps

I bought this as a solution to remove self-adhesive postage stamps. The method is to place a few drops of Bestine on the back (paper side) of the stamp to be removed, wait a few seconds then pull the stamp free. It evaporates very quickly so you must be quick. If you use Bestine for this application you will need some plain talc to rub on the back of the stamp when removed to handle better.
I will always have Bestine in my house!

I can never be without this product. I've used it for years! It removes anything sticky from any surface without ruining the item you are removing the sticky residue from. I dislike when price tags and labels, etc. leave a sticky surface and this works like magic to take it off! It evaporates quickly so it doesn't harm the surface, and I've never seen it make colors bleed or fade. Try to avoid contact with skin if possible as it is a strong chemical, so I use gloves.
BEST for sticker/tape adhesives
DLAugust 30, 2015
We moved into a house that had small children who placed small stickers on some of the bathroom vanities. We tried using a lot of different methods to remove it; rubbing alcohol worked, but it took quite a bit of elbow grease.

A friend recommended Bestine. I applied it to the sticker stains and the residue melted almost immediately. The pictures show a before and after and there were literally 3 seconds between the two. I also used it on some duct tape residue, that took a while longer. It needed to soak into the adhesive and then it came off fairly easily.

Just a heads up, Bestine may leave a slight white haze on some materials, but for me it wiped off and did not seem to be permanent.
