Well I have been shaving for over 40 years, and I used to buy these in the department stores, then they just disappeared I just figured they stopped making them. Then I saw them on Amazon and I ordered 2 just in case they did another vanishing act. I love these things! My facial hair is kind of tough and the warm lather really helps. I have read some of the negative comments and from what they wrote, it sounds like they just didn't use them properly. I would definitely recommend this, and would buy them again for myself or as a gift. The ONLY negative thing I can say, and why I gave only 4 stars is that it doesn't work as well with gel as it does with foam, and I prefer gel.

Works fine. I use Barbarsol - fits excellent makes good foam that's hot. Just what I wanted. A good buy.

I got mine today and I put it together. The instructions weren't very clear. I figured it out and it works great! I use gel and it heated up the gel very well and fast. It's a money saver compared to other warmers that are more expensive. If the instructions were better I'd give it 5 stars

So far I like this, received as a Christmas present. It takes a bit to warm up, so turn it on before you shower or whatever needed to give it time. It has two settings, for cream or gel. The gel takes a bit to get to a lather, but the cream comes out quite warm and comfortable.

Purchased for husband. He says using gel, its warm but not as hot as he would like it. Will try using lather to see if its hotter. Overall love the product.
