This check valve is exactly what I needed. I have "upgraded my compressor, and as such the standard in the tank style doesn't work for my setup anymore. I needed my compressor immediately on the job, where I was running a pphumatic grinder 6-8 hours a day. My old check valve quit working, actually broke, and since locally no compressor check valves larger than 3/8" compression were available, I resorted to a spring loaded in line check designed for water service, but it at least was rated for the pressure. That quickly proved to be nothing but a stop gap measure until I could get a Kingston 205 shipped 2 day delivery. It arrived just in time, as upon inspection, the water check was moments away from self destruction. This valve is a dream though, quieted my compressor right down, good flow rates with little restriction, installed easily with a bare minimum of modification to the existing piping. Seems like it'll last a long trouble free life with the minimum of routine maintenance that should be given to any tool.
The only thing keeping me from 5 starsing it, is there are no instructions either with the valve or online. The valve is shown in various pics with the tapped port either up or down, which is right? I don't know, what about sideways which would make accessing the guts easier for cleaning debris. Not a clue. I ended up installing with the port down and seems to be happy that way.
