Good Bags, just be careful of flaps while pouring milk into them.
Shawn & Kristen Newton✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 20, 2017
I previously had Babies R Us brand but ran out, so we decided to get these because I had some issues with milk leaking out of the other bags after being frozen and thawed. I have not frozen and thawed one of these bags yet to test that issue, but otherwise they seem like good bags. I like the double ziplocks. The writing part of it is easier that the other bags I had. I can just use a regular pen instead of a sharpie. I also like how easily the stand up on end.

The only thing that made me give them 4 stars instead of 5 was that top flap is kind of tall and it has taken some adjusting to figure out how to pour the milk in without the flaps getting in the way and making me spill milk...which is very upsetting!! Breast milk is GOLD, and I do cry over spilled breast milk! But I have learned to just flip the flaps down before I pour and that seems to have solved that problem. :)
Lansinoh vs Nuk storage bags

I have previously used the NUK storage bags and omg these are sooooo much better!! The Nuk bags broke on me at least 3 times and often leaked. Milk would ALWAYS get stuck in the threads so I'm not surprised.

These bags have amazing sealing threads - you can HEAR them click and feel how well they seal. Also, the side seams are reinforced. There is like 1/4 centimeter all around the bag to prevent leaks.

The plastic is a little thinner than the Nuk bags, but overall it actually feels nicer and higher quality.

We have sticker labels for daycare, and I stick them on my storage bag before peeling them off and putting them on the bottle in the morning. The labels removed from the Nuk much easier, but it's not terrible removing them from the Lansinoh ones. I think it's because the plastic is thinner/more pliable.

GET THESE!!!
Leaky bags...all of them.

Beyond frustrated that the entire box of bags leaks. Breast milk spilled out all over my freezer. The package says new reinforced bags but they need to try much harder. The last package only had a few that leaked but this is ridiculous. I have to throw the whole box away.
I like these bags well enough

I like these bags well enough. Out of my last 100 count, I only had a few leaks, so overall not bad. These are the bags that you can pump directly into (with an adaptor), so that is convenient. Out of all the milk bags I have tried, I prefer these the best. They are strong and durable. These same bags/same amount were twice as much at my local Target (these are even a lot cheaper than at Walmart!). The 100 count is really a good price point! I also have the pump & save adapter from the medela brand pump & save bags, and I have used that adapter to pump into these bags (before I had the recommended Lansinoh adapter) by cutting a small slice with a box cutter...it worked well, and saved washing bottles....although the adapter is fairly inexpensive! Happy pumping!
Fits 10 oz max

In case you're curious about the max volume... 10-oz and the bag stays intact even after expansion upon freezing. (Yep there are bubbles in that pictured frozen 10-oz bag, my bad).

I once tried 11 ounces but could not close the bag.

I only freeze 10 oz portions from the morning pump when I have the most milk. In other words, I don't combine multiple pump sessions into one bag because the milk would be at different temperatures (imagine adding a cold egg into warm soup). One way around this is to bring morning milk and afternoon milk to the same temperature by chilling in the fridge, then, once both bottles are cold, transferring to a bag. I don't do that often because it's too painful to see chunks of creamy hindmilk left on the bottle once chilled. I used to store in 3-4 oz portion sizes (I'm still not sure how much baby needs to eat in one feeding since she's EBF) but why waste bags if I have enough more than one bottles' worth? Just defrost and pour into 2-3 bottles for daycare/babysitter.

How I freeze and store:
I place the fresh bag flat in a clear shoe box to freeze into a smooth shape while minimizing freezer smells. Once frozen, I store upright in gallon-sized ziplock bags.
