So far, I really like these shoes. As I've said on another pair, since I was able to buy two separate Globe shoes for less than $100!, these are quality shoes and very affordable. After hours of searching online, in stores, and wandering around Chicago (I'm from Michigan) I finally ended up back on the Globes shoes. I'll admit, I thought they were pretty ugly when I first saw the styles of Zumez's website. However, Amazon has a better selection. I just chose the black/black style so I can get a clean look, especially in the spring.

That all being said... these shoes were just a hair too long and a little more narrow than I'm used to (considering I was wearing super tight DC's for 3 months before they crapped out) but I'll adjust to the size soon since my old Van's (8 years, poor things) were more this style. And I'll tighten the laces more, which I'm not looking forward to. The only thing I don't like about these, and it could be due to the sizing issue, is that when I step forward, the front top portion of the shoe bends with my foot, which irritates me. I'm hoping the lacing will fix that up

The shoe itself is very comfortable. The soles seem sturdy (time will tell) and the lacing system looks solid. Overall, I am very satisfied and look forward to keeping these for years.

Fit great

I've always loved skater shoes and particularly loved the designs Globe incorporates, but never actually purchased a pair before. Now that I've worn these shoes, I doubt I'll buy any other brand in the future. I had planned on putting a pair of inserts in the shoes, but they're so comfortable I doubt I'll even need them.

UPDATE:
Yeah, they're still comfy, but I did end up putting in some inserts. Also, the backs of the shoes have ripped out by this point, I've got some Gorilla tape on the backs of them to keep the plastic from shredding my ankles. If I had been putting these shoes on like one is SUPPOSED to put shoes on this wouldn't have happened, but instead I slip them off and on like a freaking child. I can't fault them for either issue in this update, just thought I'd put it out there.
Next pair of shoes I get is coming with a shoe horn or something so I can be both lazy AND have nice shoes for longer.
Also, started skating again recently with these shoes. They almost grip TOO much, but it's more likely that I'm just a little rusty on the ol' longboard.

Arrived on time. Look great and they are more comfortable than a cokehead in the whytehouse.

Fortunately they only had a 10 left and it fits perfect. Maybe a little snug but definitely not uncomfortable. And since I don't tie the shoes anyway a little snug is perfect for me. They are made very well and they are different than any shoe I have ever owned or we venture seen for that matter. First of all they are super comfy with thick cushion like material all the way around the foot.
Here it is, its like putting on a sock. Your foot goes into a boot-like shoe inside of a shoe. Its like a sock cushion that is attached to the shoe. I really dig it and i love the idea. Like I said very comfortable. I would say fits as expected and the size is very true. Get em they are the bomb diggity.
