A Miracle in a tube. No more noisy screw drive garage door opener.

This Genie Screw Drive lube for older Garage Door Openers is a miracle in a tube!! We just bought a vacation home with this ScrewDrive door opener. It was so chattery and loud I swear it would wake the neighbors everytime we opened it. My Husband watched a Youtube video on what to use and how to quiet the door opener. I came to Amazon and bought the multipack (which you will most likely use 2 tubes the first time). Very easy to apply the fix. Just squirt it along the length of the screw when the garage door is down and then run your index finger (wear gloves) along the length of the screw spreading the lube evenly in the screw channel. Then open and close the door all the way. That's it. We used 2 tubes, and there was no dripping what so ever. The lube stayed put and my door opener is so quiet not and runs smooth. Hubby did also use the WD40 Specialist White lithiium spray on the rollers and rail, as well as the hinges for the door panels. Highly recommend this product!

Get the multi-pack (this one) rather than the single pack. One tube will not quite (or barely) cover the the screw drive for a normal (~8') tall door. If you want to make sure that you really are getting the full length, spend the extra $2-3 for the multi pack and then you can be sure to cover the full length.
If the drive already has some grease from earlier, this is probably not an issue. But if you are putting it on for the first time (eg, new door opener), then this is more relevant.

Each Tube Is Enough For A Complete Single Application

I grease my screw drive garage door opener once, maybe twice a year. These tubes of grease each contain enough for a complete, single application, as I do not tend to over apply the grease at any one spot on the screw.
Easy to use and an immediate noticeable decrease in the noise of the garage door opening and closing, which is kinda my sign that I've applied it correctly and enough of it.
I will buy this item again when needed.

Makes Genie Garage openers quiet

I bought this to make my garage door opener quiet. It's a Genie brand with screw drive. In the past I oiled the bearings and sleeves on the door which didn't help with noise at all..When I cleaned the screw drive and applied the lube it is exceptionally quiet. It will take 1 1/2 tubes of lube per door, using sparingly. For quick application pressing nozzle between the screw drive and carrier allows you to move quickly and sparingly.
It's easy to keep your screw lubed!

Then open and close the door all the way. That's it. I never clean the screw, just add more lube once a year, that's what a expert garage repairman told me to do.
