Purchased my Slingbox in 2015 to allow me to watch U.S. sports while I was assigned to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The app worked great as long as my battery was charged and the wifi was strong. I remember watching the PGA Championship at a restaurant in Sarajevo and impressing my friends there.

I've purchased the app for ios and kindle and they both respond pretty much the same. I have the Slingbox attached to my DirecTV at home and watch my favorite sports when traveling. The internet connection at home often gets interference from something I haven't figured out yet but other than slight interruptions I get decent viewing.

It's a bit tricky to install. Basically you need to go to your cable provider and get the right TV set top box from them.BUT then just follow the directions. It works fabulous. I use it in the Dominican Republic to watch all of the US shows that I like. I also downloaded it onto my tablet and phone and can watch my favorite programs wherever I am. I love it!

I have the first kindle fire and this app still works great. I wish I could stream to a TV or roku device using it but if all you want to do is watch TV on your kindle fire than this is great. I have it one my I phone also and that does allow streaming to a roku device. It is expensive for an app but a one time fee is not to bad. You can buy a western digital streaming device thought and get the slingplayer app for free and watch it one your TV. I have both.

without buying a separate expensive slingbox despite being directed to download this app by the dishanywhere website. They should have a new Kindle app out soon, which will be free from Dish, so don't waste your money.
