We spend part of the year at a house served by well water that is quite hard. Dishes and glasses come out of the dishwasher coated in a white hazy film that is difficult to remove, and that is thick enough to be really objectionable. Adding a dash of this powder to the dishwasher powder right in the same cup on the door totally eliminates the problem.

My drinking glasses were ruined after running them through the dishwasher in our new Georgia home. I tried Jet Dry as well as soaking them in a vinegar/water solution, but I couldn't get the white film off. I then researched this and bought a bottle off Amazon. After using it according to the directions, my glasses are still cloudy and white. Bummer this didn't work. Also, I saw it cheaper at my base commissary.

WARNING! This stuff will ruin ANY glassware that has a design printed on it. I lost my favorite glass to this stuff and I cannot replace it. I lost another design on another glass that was in there but it's not as precious as the other one :'( if you can see the brown smudges on it, that's where the design used to be.

We have really hard water and were about to give up on our dishwasher, because instead of cleaning the dishes, it was making them dirtier and adding hard water stains. I tried vinegar soaks and they only helped a little. Lemi Shine worked miracles! It took a few cycles to get rid of all the build-up, but now my dishwasher works great. It even cleaned the heating element, which we forgot about because it was creating a burning smell so we had stopped using it. One day, I opened my dishwasher and noticed all the build-up was gone, so I ran the heated dry on the next cycle and it worked perfectly!
