Looks sharp - no reception issues for me...love that it is made in the USA.

The product looks better than the longer antenna that came with the Mini 10 years ago. I had bad reception, especially AM, before the antenna was replaced and the Stubby actually gets better reception on a couple channels. Definitely no worse. Cravenspeed sent a nice email after shipping and explained that reception is tricky and offered (before I even had a chance to install it) to send a return label if I had any problems. It was reassuring and a really good customer experience
Little bit of confusion led by a great product.

I ordered my stubby replacement for my 2004 Mini Cooper S. When it arrived it arrived with two options for threads to screw into the antenna. Neither fit my Mini I emailed the supplier and they informed me that it may have a been a mix up of amazons shipping. They then shipped me a new antenna and a prepaid return label for the old one. The one they sent me fit great. I've had it on for a day or two now and it gets just as good of signal as the old one did and I pick up all the same stations I got with my stock antenna which means a lot living in rural Kentucky. I am nothing but pleased with the antenna and the customer service I received.
Great replacement for the awkward factory antenna

I have 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman. The stubby works perfectly for radio and for Sirius. Installation took 2 minutes. BTW, this is my second purchase from Craven. I also bought towing hooks - which also worked perfectly.
Just buy it!

Very Happy with this product. I didn't notice any reception issues but I am line of sight about 50 miles from the radio towers. This is a high quality unit basically solid Aluminium. Should stand up to everything. If it fads, I'll paint it. But I doubt anything else will happen to it. I need to find someone that sells the Antenna base gasket for a R56 mini with GPS. Nothing out there.
A good purchase

Bought this for our 2009 Mini Cooper S.
Arrived quick and packaged well.
Came with two mounting bolts, one fit perfect.
Was really easy to take off what was left of the old antenna and add the new one.
Reception on the radio improved too, it sounded awful with the remnants of the old antenna.
