I love France Luxe quality but this one was too hard to situate on my head. I guess for a pony, I need pony. My hair is fine but thick.

As noted, it's "okay". The barrette looks great but is very hard to fasten and was too expensive in the first place to have problems. I have had several similar ones over the years and this is the first one I have had an issue with.
Of course Amazon has this! Why have I been looking elsewhere?

I have had a barrette such as this one for probably 20 years. And I probably have used it at least every other day during that time. It is my absolute favorite, as it is the only barrette of this size that has the full length tensioner. Imagine my dismay when I'd found it had fallen out of my pocket and had been run over by a car in the parking lot! I repaired it, but my little barrette had truly seen the end of its days. Oh, sadness! None can compare to you, my little buddy.
And so here we are, a year later. Lo and behold! Amazon! Yes, Amazon! Why didn't I think of looking here? Taaa Daaa!! Same manufacturer, same tensioner, could this actually be what I've been searching for?
Yes! Yes! I now have a new friend! A new little buddy that fits perfectly in the watch pocket of my jeans, or clasps firmly to the strap of my shoulder bag. Always at the ready to stylishly grasp my long hair. Thank-you, Amazon. I promise I'll never stray again.

Too Small, and Yes - It IS Returnable - Fortunately

If you have thick hair, this thing is likely going to be so small as to annoying or unusable. Otherwise, it's okay. And, despite an earlier review, it IS returnable. I returned it.

Definitely a high end, classy hair accessory that will last me decades. It's more expensive, but it's worth the money and it looks amazing in comparison to the cheap (and bad) generic ones you get at Walgreens, CVS or Walmart. And finally something that's NOT made in China. I have long, thick hair and it holds all my hair in a nice ponytail. I have already ordered one barrette and one clip from France Luxe and have worn them with great confidence. They look amazing!!! Highly recommended if you're tired of your cheap product that breaks easily.
