Great Hook. Not for use with bed lifts.
Bailey•June 18, 2017
This is the second time I have purchased this hook (for a 2nd bed). It works as described. Allowed me to connect a hook-on headboard to a bolt-on bedframe. I love that the product allows some adjustment in the width and height.
My only other comment is to read the descrjptions carefully. Dont uae this style if you want to use bed lifts. This hook is meant for a bed where the headboard will support the weight. There is a different hook if you need the bedframe to support the weight of the headboard.

This works!

This works. I just installed it on a huge king sized wood headboard. I would suggest having a helper. I did it alone but it took a while to get the height and width just right. That said I can now say good bye to the old wood rails and footboard. If you don't need both adjustments get the other hooks. Overall very happy with the product.
Worked Perfectly
Scott R. Brooks•December 12, 2016
We had an old mid-century headboard and a typical double/full bed frame that we needed to attach. This did the trick. I thought the bolts would be a little bit too short to work with, and that the nuts would slip when tightening, but I got it to work perfectly. Two recommendations: get another person to help you lift and position things, and also get yourself a 7/16" nut driver to tighten it up -- you don't even need to hold the bolt from the other side with a screwdriver; it just tightens nicely from the nut end.
Pictured are the headboard we attached, the tools I used -- though all I really needed was the nut driver -- and views of the bracket from two angles. FYI, the wooden platform was something I built to support the mattress ... but that's a whole other story. Also, I'm not sure why the photos are all rotated different ways. That's not how they looked when I uploaded them.

Works as described. This really helped with the horrible squeaking that was coming from the wood on the headboard that was connected to the frame. I have a King and the frame was moving the wood and it was squeaking a lot when I move around in the bed. I installed these and the squeaking has completely stopped because these connect to a different part of the headboard. It is adjustable to fit. My only issue was: When I was putting it on, I did not sit on the frame (or hold it down) for the proper adjustment. I caught this before I put the box springs and mattress back on. If you don't hold down the frame to simulate the weight of the box springs and mattress it will hold up the frame off the floor just a little and this could cause the bracket to slip down if the screws are not very tight. Just my experience, thought I would share it. I would recommend these.

Both me and my dog Approve!!

I ordered these because I had a metal futon like queen sized bed base with no way of attaching it to this fabulous queen sized wooden sleigh bed headboard and footboard. With a little fudging I was able to attach the bed frame base to the Bed Claws and like magic they slid into the slots on the head board and foot board and it seems very sturdy and it IS very comfortable. PS> My dog is also very happy because he now has his favorite sleeping and hiding place to go to again under the bed. If he's happy I'm happy!!
