I used Loreal Preference for 20 years. I liked it better than any other permanent hair color, other than my salon frosting and foils. I now buy this product for the conditioner only. I stopped coloring my hair after a pancreatic attack that landed me in the hospital for a week. It had nothing to do with the hair color, but as a result of my illness, my hair turned silver and white. This hair color no longer looked as pretty once my hair turned so light. I stopped coloring my hair when it started to fall out after the illness. I wanted to let it rest and see if my natural color would return. It did not and I have been silver and white ever since. I would recommend this product as a quality hair color. for at home application.

I love the cooler shades Loreal offers. They are awesome in winter months and compliment my complexion well. I also love their included conditioner.
That said, it would be nice if more of their containers and included items could be recycled. I need to color my hair often and it feels like such a waste throwing the non recyclable items away. Is there something better the products could go in?
I am going to look at other brands to see if anyone has more environmentally friendly options available.

6AB Chic Auburn Brown is the perfect shade of auburn--not too dark and not too light. Not pink or orangey. Just love it--in the past I've had to mix two colors to get this shade. Left my hair in good condition too. Will definitely buy again. Wish they sold this color in the stores.

I was wanting to go from all-over salon highlights, back to more of my natural brown hair color. At the moment, I can't afford to maintain salon highlights and opted to take the more-affordable at-home route. Overall, the color came out exactly how I wanted it.
Pros:
+ Easy to apply and rinse
+ Comes with weekly conditioner
+ Color is as described on box
+ Delivers a cool, natural tone without any brassiness
+ Left hair shiny and style-able
+ Minimal fallout

Cons:
- Harsh chemical smell that made my eyes water at times (but I've also experienced worse)
- My lighter hair definitely came out as a lighter tone, but I expect another application about 5-6 weeks from now will help with that
- Not a lot of product included in one box, so people with longer hair might need to purchase 2 boxes

Better,truer blonde than other box bleaches I've tried - but leave it on for 45 minutes. Otherwise you will not see results - or it will have an orange tint. My hair was light brown/dirty dark blonde and I've attached a pic of the outcome using Lightest Ash Blonde.(9.5A)
