We use these as salad dressing containers for the kids to take to school. They are way better than anything else we've ever used. No leaks. Dishwasher safe. No weird chemicals in the plastic. This is a winner.

These containers do not leak, which makes them great for packing dressings or sauces with your lunch. However, even after several thorough washings, they still smell a little like the salad dressing that was in them. Also, even with the cap screwed off, the opening is somewhat small (1.125 inches in diameter), which makes these containers difficult to fill from a bottle or jar without spilling. The small opening also makes it difficult to mix your own dressing in the container itself because 1- you can't pour in spices without a funnel, and 2- the opening is too narrow for even a small spoon.

The problem that I had with these units is that the salad dressing tasted like plastic all of the time. From reading other peoples review, I suspect that it's because they were hard to clean, and I use a dishwasher. I am on the hunt for a similar solution, that is easier to clean, and one that doesn't make the salad dressing taste funny.

Not sure why so many high reviews, the portion size seems the only real positive to me. They leak a bit sometimes and can be a bit tricky to fill, looking for something better to bring salad dressing.
