I have a condition called blepharitis. The etiology is unknown but It's suspected to be an autoimmune disorder. It is not uncommon, especially in women. It requires warm soaks and scrubbing of the eyelids at the base of the bottom lashes and the outside of upper and lower lids at least twice daily to loosen the burning secretions coming from the glands at the base of lashes, and flaky debris from the eye lids. It can be really painful, with constant burning and the feeling of lashes poking you in the eye. Your eyelashes also start falling out. Without getting more specific, the warm soaks with lid scrubs (with special soap) did not help me. I was even on steroid drops for awhile but that can injure the cornea and is temporary. At my wits end, I had to think of something that would allow me to keep my eyes under warm soaks that would stay warm. Wash clothes become cold too quickly and I spent more time putting them under the fawcett than over my eyes. I decided to install this eye wash station where I could keep my closed eyes under really warm/hot water as long as necessary. ITS BEEN A MIRACLE! After a sustained 5 minute washs, I scrub my lids with just warm water (no more soap required) using a small piece of gauze, then I cool down the water to just luke warm and open my eyes to rinse out the debris. NO more pain and burning, no redness, no secretions around my eyes, and my lashes are thickening. My ophthalmologist said, "You did for yourself what I couldn't". I showed him a picture of the eye wash station to ensure he would tell other patients. It's a quality product that has saved my eyes and changed the quality of my life.

Keep in mind that this is a "Faucet-Mounted" device supplied with various pipe thread adapters for indoor use. We couldn't make it work for our needs. Not able to find an adapter for garden hose for these things after checking at two hardware stores around here. Not willing to spend anymore time on this. Wanted to provide this as an extra emergency resource for our exterior building restoration crews but, for them, it'd be useless without the ability to hook it up to a hose.

This works great! Very compact, very simple, works perfectly. Put it in my home shop, just in case. Find it very convenient when I come in from mowing.... just to wash the dust out of my eyes.

Works great and easy to assemble. Does not take much space, but it allows me to be OSHA compliant at my dental office.
