This golden oldie has been consistently considered the best under $100.00 stick for years and now I know why.
While on a trip out of state, I left my rackets home and needed a quick racquet. Having used the Wilson K Zero for 2 years, I figured the Hyper Hammer specs were close in weight and square inches so I took a flyer and snagged one. Wow!
Definitely more pop and power off the string bed. I'm hitting one or two aces in each of my last matches and my usually flat forehands are zinging in for winners. Once you acclimate to the need for a bit more control, this racquet will improve your game.
It's a but head heavy, hence the power but the sub 10 ounce weight will allow maneuverability and it feels light. I'm gonna replace the stock Wilson strings to Babolat RPM Blasts at 60 psi but it's hot out of the wrapper. Get 1. You will not be sorry you did.

This racket is much lighter than the original hammer my father got thirty years ago. It is as powerful as the old one, with added forgiveness for the enlarged sweet spot.
