A great gift for any incense lover.
Dan•October 10, 2017
My sister and her boyfriend love to burn incense sticks, so I gave this to them as a gift. They love it and use it all the time, have yet to hear any complaints on it. I see them using it even still when I visit every now and then.
Functional and attractive

Very charming and functional. The only downside (and the minus one star) is that when burning the stick incense (like you get from Buddhist temples in Japan - the ones without the wood stick bottom), the small portion being held occasionally gets stick in the holder, and requires tweezers to remove (as in sometimes turning it over just doesn't dump it out).
Misrepresentation of Color
Kim•January 1, 2017
It's ok at catching the incense but the color is TOTALLY off. Ordered one in mountain mist and it's more of a tan color. Received another as a gift, in Azure, and the color is so much lighter than what is pictured. Very disappointed by the misrepresentation. Not worth the money. Definitely returning the one I ordered.
Lovely piece whose problems are easily solved.

A very good-looking incense holder. If I'm using incense sticks that aren't a good fit, I place a folded Kleenex under the holder so the incense stick has something to grab onto so it easy to make it stand perpendicularly. This keeps the ashes in the bowl; if having a pad of paper under the holder makes you nervous, you should moisten the paper but it's not necessary. There is really no fire hazard involved.
Captures all the ash

At my sons request I bought the Shoyeido's Mountain Mist Round Ceramic Incense holder after he went through all the colors and types. He loves the fact that all the ash falls right into the outer bowel and not all over his desk any more. The colors match his room perfect and is nice and shiny. This incense holder only burns 1 incense at a time though where as the one I got will burn 3 at a time if you wish.
