Liked them enough to buy a second set.

I liked these so much I purchased a second set. Not only can you tie your laces quickly with these, they actually create a more snug fit than traditional laces because of the ability to tighten them and then have the elasticity give a bit. Installing them is fairly easy other than the final step of putting the plastic clip onto the end of the laces. You'll want to press it against a hard surface and/or use a hard object to press down on it at the same time. Another tip is that instead of feeding the laces through so that they end up even on both sides at the end, feed them through so that one end is the short length you want it to be so that you don't have to cut both ends, you just cut one end and have a long, single piece of elastic tie left.
Great laces, just a couple or minor drawbacks.

I love these laces. They are elastic, so they make my sneakers fit very comfortably, and they do not "flip-flop" on the back. I only rated this a four because of a few issues. 1) They are a one-time use only. If you want to change to a different color, you can never use the laces once they are "uninstalled"; you will never get them back through the loop holes. 2) On several occasions, the clip that holds the ends of the laces has popped off. This has forced me to shorten the ends so as to get a clean edge when re-closing the clip. 3) Be careful when you clip the length after lacing up your shoes. If you make a mistake and clip them too short, you're out of luck.
Probably the 10th pair we've bought. They outlast the shoes...

My daughter loves these lace replacements; they always seem to outlast her shoes. Elastic laces makes it super easy to put on and take off shoes. Easy to adjust. Since the laces are elastic, they flex under pressure so your shoes don't become ungodly tight if your feet swell after a long day walking.
The plastic bit that retains the ends of the elastic laces requires a bit of pressure to attach, but nothing your average person can't handle (might be a little tough if you have arthritis or similar). I suppose you could whack the end with a book or something to set it in place, or maybe use plyers (gently!!!) or just ask someone else for help.
The seller now has videos of how to install the laces on YouTube. If you are interested and curious, search for 'lock laces' and check out the videos.

BEST shoelaces for kids who can't tie their shoes yet!

I got these for my 5 year old who has not learned to tie his shoes. They were super easy to put in (except for clamping down the piece that holds the ends together after you trim them - that took a couple of attempts!) and have held up great. The first time he put them on, it did take a couple of minutes (per shoe) to adjust the laces and get them snug without being too snug. He's had them for about 2 weeks and I haven't had to help him put his shoes on once since the initial "fitting" and I haven't had to adjust the laces again. Prior to purchasing these, we used another type of rubber laces and these have been much better - the others were always popping loose and/or breaking and made the shoes difficult to put on because you couldn't adjust how snug they were - I strongly prefer these.
Lock Laces are amazing, and their company actually cares!!

Lock Laces make my life as an amputee so much easir. It's a drag alone to have to constantly tie your shoes that are on your actual feet, but even more so tieing your shoes when it's on a prosthetic leg. Thanks to these laces I never have to tie my shoes again. I just follow the instructions on installing them to my shoes, and done, that easy. I am now free and don't need to worry about finding a place to sit down to tie my shoes. Lock laces have made my life as a new amputte a lot more comfortable. Not only do they have an outstanding quality product, but they actually care about their costumers. I had an error in my order, I sent them an email, and they shipped me out a new set, I even recaievd a little post card that apologized. Companys need to learn from these guys they are awsome!
P.S if you're in need of geettig these laces out there for the disabled crowd, I'm your guy. Thanks a ton lock laces!
