Great; but too much for too little
aliris•October 18, 2017
Exactly as Megasaurus says. It's a great product, but really doesn't last long and costs way too much and you receive way too little for it to be reasonable.
But it did work great; only now I have to buy more and am not sure whether the price is worth it. :(

Shower Grip Clear Anti-slip Bathtub Coating by Grip It
Last visit by elderly in-laws resulted in a slip and almost fall in the guest room shower, so we needed a solution for their next visit. First considered those snap-together teak tiles, but realized while an attractive solution, build-up of dirt, mold and grime underneath would be accelerated and having to unsnap/remove them all each time cleaning was required would be a nightmare. Did not want to use a non-slip mat nor those classic non-skid pattern decals as solutions. Took a chance on this product and bought it based on the highly positive reviews. After a good cleaning, rinsing and overnight time to fully dry the shower floor tiles, this product rolled on easily and quickly. As you can see from the before and after photos I attached here, it added a moderate amount of gloss to the shower floor tile, but nothing terribly distracting and I'm sure it will dull over time from usage. I tested it--while the tile itself is a porcelain with a non-smooth surface that isn't significantly slippery to start, this product adds a nice "grit" to the surface and even with a film of water and soap over it, it continues to be more non-slip than without this product being added. The grit in fact feels really nice on the bottoms of my feet, a bit like a mini massage LOL. Not sure how long this product will last (only time will tell), but I bought two bottles and didn't even use the full first bottle, so ready for reapplication as needed, even if this shower is not always in use. Long story short, this product seems to work and retains the original look of one's tub or shower and without the need for unsightly, dirt-trapping mats or stickers, or the need to remove snap in place elevated teak tiles for cleaning.

Good product but needs more quantity

good product but needs more grit in it and more quantity in the order because such a small bottle needs to be redone often
Better than stickies
Richard A. Post•October 29, 2015
In use for 3 wks & so far so good.
Easy application
Well, it's been in excess of 2 years & although application is holding up well it might be a good idea to add a colorant due to "browning" or soil staining.
Still beats stickies !!!

Better on smooth surfaces

Not as rubbery/sticky as I had hoped. I'm giving it a positive review because it seems that it would definitely help if you had a smooth tub, but for a textured surface the gain is fairly minimal.
I scoured the surface well (per the directions) and applied it to the tub. It was then given 24 hours to dry completely. The surface feels slightly grippier / grittier than normal, but because it was applied to a texture surface it doesn't do a whole lot to reduce slip. There are some smooth parts that have a bit applied and I feel it's more effective there.
