... son how to play and this ball is a wonderful teaching aid and for a excellent price

I'm trying to teach my son how to play and this ball is a wonderful teaching aid and for a excellent price. We don't use this ball to break though because of the comments and warnings, in other words I walk into this with my eyes open.
Good Cue-Ball Aid.

I enjoy playing pool although I have never played as well as I would like. My wife bought me a new, quality pool table for Christmas so I felt obligated to take my play to the next level (even though this means moving from kindergarten pool, the grade school pool, LOL) so I bought this training cue ball in the hopes it would help me. When trying to practice different draws, English, etc, I have found being able to use the dots to follow the rotation of the ball has proven helpful. I noticed some low ratings for the Izzy ball; primarily it appears when to be when using this ball to break the rack. I have not tried that, but have used mine more with repeated shots to practice different cue ball strikes and have not used this for regular play. I'm hopeful that continuing to use it just for my individual practice will allow me a longer lifetime than some others have experienced.
it's good enough for an amateur

It's a measle ball. It's cheap, and it has dots. If you're a shooter that can tell a cheap ball from a pro grade that this will probably fall short. But that's not me, so I'm perfectly happy. It really improves my ability to observe the way the spin changes off the rails and down the table.
Great, but don't break with it.

Can not beat this for the price if you use it as intended. I practice with this cue ball to see the affect of english (hitting left or right of the center of the ball) on the ball spin and how interaction with other balls and rails affects the spin. Do NOT use it to break with, that will kill this ball. I have had this ball for over a month now with daily play and it is holding up fine.
A good spotted cue ball at a good price.

These are very good cue balls with the "measles" dots to enable one to see the spins on the cue ball for each shot. Gives visual feedback when trying to learn top, bottom, or side English. Also good for spotting the cause of errors when shots do not go as planned.
Not as well made as the Aramith spotted cue ball, but far less expensive. So great for casual usage.
