Quality product, saves you from expensive plumbing bill.

This thing is great! It works very well. I had to dump my washer hose into my laundry sink after discovering my galvanized steel plumbing under the ground that serviced my washer has corroded and catches lint inside the piping and clogs up.
I put this on my drain, I didn't even have to cut it, run a full load of wash, and it caught every scrap of hair and lint without impeding the water flow.

as others have noted, it works on the larger bits of lint. However, comparing two different products over time, it does not get the smaller lint that a mesh collector grabs. I am staying with the mesh-style.

This thing is great! It traps all the lint from your washing machine. Do remember to clean it out every month or two as it does get filled with lint and can cause a littl back up in your drainage sink.
My husband was skeptical when I purchase this as we were used to having those lint snares. We've gone lint snare free for several months now and don't regret it at all. We have never had to cut the lint trapper down in size to find out sink drain, just popped it into the drain. It's quick to set up, easy to use, and doesn't need to be replaced. All around score! Highly recommend this product for your washing machine sink to catch lint and save your sewers!

Easy to use and seems to be working

This was recommended to me by a plumber who cleaned my floor drain. I have a ton of hair and two shedding dogs - we have a lot of lint in the lint trap on my washer. He said these work better because you only have to clean them out, not replace them like you do the mesh things. It seems to catch a lot of debris, which gives me confidence that it's working.
Inexpensive and elegant solution to the problem of a clogged lint trap
Marvin Suggs•July 5, 2016
My laundry basin drain had a small lint trap that often clogged. The result was repeated flooding of my laundry floor which in turn rotted the wood and caused a lot of expensive and annoying damage. With the clarity of hindsight, if I had bought this thing years ago, none of that would have happened. It is a clever design that is unlikely to clog and is very easy to clean.
