Hard to find, and fits the purpose.

Hard to find, and fits the purpose. It looked generic enough to fit my standing Coleman patio heater. most parts fit, and a few were scabbed from the original. But it had the pilot regulator and tip switch needed to put the heater back into service.
This will work for a year or two, then it won't. Consider buying two to save on shipping.

They have these things designed to work for a while and then fail. I've replaced ours three times now, if there is a better one on the market I'd like to know where it is- I searched and finally held my nose and bought this one. I don't mind spending money to get quality, but I am confident that this will fail in shortly over a year- just like the last ones. The problem is the pilot light assembly is two pieces of thin stainless steel stamped and crimped together, and a metal tube that carries the gas up to the flame that is prone to corrosion. Once corrosion begins it spreads the two plates apart allowing gas to leak from all sides and the pilot no longer works. Buy a new one, (rinse and repeat).
At least this works out of the box, unlike the igniters (but that's another story).

Bot this a while ago just put it in my 16 Year old Patio heater and it lit right up on the first time and STAYED Lit. Mine came with the anti tilt switch so it was all just plug and play. Very easy to install and I'm so happy and surprised how well it works!

This my third one in 3 years, they just don't hold up. Not sure why. Could have bought a new heater by now.
