These are fairly greasy, yet taste fresh. These taste like any other cheap brand summer sausage does. They are decent and get the job done. They make a quick snack.

As soon as I received them I split the package up into three separate piles. I vacuumed sealed 2 other piles and placed them in my freezer. I threw the 3rd one into a Ziploc bag and placed that one in the refrigerator.

These do not have the added preservatives like Slim Jim, so they must be stored in a sealed container in a cold place. As other reviews have stated, they will mild over if not stored properly. The package is not resealable unfortunately.

I love beef sticks and sausage in general, so I was really excited to find these on Amazon for a good price. Then I started reading the reviews and seeing pictures of so many packages that had moldy sausage. I decided to try my luck anyway since my regular sausage was out of stock. I waited to write this review until the entire package was gone to ensure they didn't go moldy.

Today I ate the last of the package and am happy to report that they stayed fresh for me! The pack comes with 30 sticks and I ate two a day for a midday protein snack to help keep my blood sugar up. I put them in the fridge right away when they arrived and kept the there, just folding the plastic over once I opened them up. No problems in the 15 days I've had them. I should mention these are the beef sticks and not the turkey. The turkey wasn't available when I placed my order otherwise I may have tried those first.

I'm super happy with this purchase. The sticks are full of flavor and mild. They didn't taste fatty or greasy and they have a nice snap to them. Each stick has 5 grams of protein and like I said, these make a perfect midday snack. I will definitely order again. I'm not sure what the mold situation was from that a few people experienced. Maybe they weren't refrigerated after opening or maybe they became too hot during transit. Either way, I'm glad I took the chance and ordered and that mine remained fresh for the two weeks.

These are great! They don't taste artificial, greasy and stringy and inedible like the bad old Slim Jims you can buy at Walmart. They taste like real food. Being that they are processed meat they are naturally a bit salty but not overwhelmingly so. They do come in a large package so after I opened it, I repackaged the sticks into smaller amounts and sealed them in plastic with my vacuum sealer. I then threw the packs in the freezer to be safe. Of course they did not last long enough to be worth the bother of bagging and freezing them as they are already all gone. My boyfriend went nuts over them and gobbled them up and requested more, immediately. He will have to wait until my next Subscribe & Save order!

These are delicious snacks! I am doing Weight Watchers and they are only 1 point each so perfect!

The only reason they lost a star is because the first time I ordered these, they came in a great vacuum packed package. The last time, the vacuum seal was somehow broken so they were just kind of loose in the package. Some of them had bent a little. I did taste them but it worried me as they are a meat product. I am about to order them again and hope the vacuum seal holds tight!

I have loved summer sausage all my life but, except for the one I get every Christmas, I had quit buying them years ago because of the ingredients, which are conducive to 'clogged arteries' and hypercholesterolemia. Then it dawned on me that if I could find some made with turkey that it would be healthier to eat. And Old Wisconsin filled all my needs, with flavor.
