great taste
KIJO SMITH•August 3, 2018
great flavor, but at the going price, I am not sure I would buy again, you could always dehydrate your own for cheaper, this is for hardcore bacon fans, the pieces are paper thin. I really want to give this 5 stars, but the price just doesn't let it happen. for the same price I could have bought 10 cans of Keystone beef, which is an outstanding product. Dont get me wrong I like this bacon in the can, and it would make a great camping feel good cooking item. But until the price drops, I'll be looking at other products.
Very good; very, very expensive.

Three stars because it costs a bomb.
I bought this because my husband talks about how great it was when he used it years ago. I got three cans; two to put in our emergency supplies, the other for a friend's. Of course, my husband couldn't resist opening one and frying it up.
I was very surprised; it wasn't overly salty, as I'd expected, and it held up as well as regular packaged bacon. It's very thin, and though it doesn't weigh much, there are a lot of slices per can. I think our remaining can will be a real treat should we need it in the future. The shelf life is ten years.
I'd buy it again if It wasn't so expensive. But I'd put it someplace my husband couldn't find it!

Better than I ever expected from any canned meat product

I was highly skeptical of this product, but I watched a couple people open cans on Youtube before I took the risk of buying. I wasn't disappointed - I won't replace fresh bacon with this, but I will most definitely keep several cans of this on hand, both for emergencies and for laziness. They're very thin slices, but I'd say there were around 50 slices in the can I opened. Also, if you're taking this camping, save the wax paper the bacon is separated with to use as a fire starter
The bacon now tastes like extra salty paper
LakeSimplicity•January 23, 2018
I have been purchasing this product for a few years but the quality has consistently gone down. The bacon now tastes like extra salty paper. It's as if it's been in the can for as many years as I have been purchasing it, which would only be acceptable if I have just survived the apocalypse. It's no longer visually appealing either. It comes out of the can with a yellow hue, there were huge wads of fat, and the slices are much thinner than they used to be. It's a shame because I work overseas in countries that do not have bacon as we do in the US and this was my go-to product but not anymore.
Great to have in the pantry!! For TEOTWAWKI or just to have shelf stable bacon... Did I mention it's BACON!!

Microwave... 20 seconds on a paper towel.... You would never know it came from a can... When we get busy during the summer I will use this instead of fresh bacon, only because I don't have the time to cook it, and I love the fact that it is shelf stable... It is in our preps as well as our weekly diet!!
But also... BACON!!
But also... BACON!!
