There's a fair amount of sugar/carbs in this drink, and wannabe nutritionists/gym people will not hesitate to tell you so. However, as a vegetarian and picky eater, this is my best shot for making sure I get a decent amount of protein during the day (if not the recommended daily value). It tastes like good chocolate milk (because that's basically what it is). Nothing chalky and no questionable aftertaste. I've tried a lot of protein drinks over the past several years, and this is my favorite for balancing taste and nutrition. These come in a non-refrigerated cardboard box, which is no big deal, but before you drink one definitely refrigerate first! I've never drunk one warm and wouldn't want to.

Hands down, the best protein drink I have ever had, and I have tried a ton. Tastes like a vanilla milk shake without the chalky texture most protein drinks seem to have. 26 grams of protein and no lactose, means I meet my protein requirements without torturing my stomach. My only complaint is that it is hard to find, Vons carries them sometimes, but otherwise it is all amazon.

Bought this because I needed to add protein to my diet after surgery. OMG! This stuff is great! Tastes like a yummy chocolate milkshake, no aftertaste, no chalky residue, a pleasure to drink. I've tried other ones over the years when my son was body building, and not one of them could hold a candle to this one! Definitely a winner!!

There are several different variations of Core Power now. Core Power light is hard, if not impossible to find in stores. In fact, I wouldn't even know it existed if a local gas station didn't briefly have them. Core Power light will give you all the taste possible, with the help of a little sugar, in a 150 calorie bottle. Unlike other protein shakes, this actually takes like chocolate milk. That's probably why I like it.

Changed to vegetarian diet several months ago. Travel a lot and am busy with eating being at the bottom of the list so extremely difficult to manage protein intake. Had started to not feel well and assumed lack of protein was partially the cause. Started using this product 90 days ago and it has worked well for me. All flavors I have tried have been very good with no aftertaste that I noticed with Muscle Milk and some of the others. Plan to continue using the product.
