It's getting more and more difficult to find swim that are solid. Most now have a huge hole running thru the center, so about 15% of it's flotation is missing. These are solid and made of dense, durable foam. They are well worth the extra money.

Great bouyant noodle, my only complain is that the colors are not nearly as vibrant as the pictures and the product sticker was soo adherent that it took off the top layer of foam where it was stuck, works great though.

The best noodles. The noodles with holes in them fill up with water and sink more easily. These are much more buoyant because they don't have holes, and are great for resistance with pool exercises.
