Great for the price compared to a factory collar, and works better than i had expected.

Works as expected and is better quality than I had anticipated. A great substitute for a factory Canon tripod collar. I am using it on an EF-L 70-200 F4 with no issues at all.

I use this on Canon's EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM prime telephoto. Perhaps this is not as well made as Cannon's official tripod collar but it works perfectly for my needs and is significantly less costly. The collar's inside is covered with a soft fluffy material so as to not scratch the lens barrel and hold the lens securely under tension. Loosening the lock knob a little allows the lens to rotate for landscape vs portrait framing.
